1997. A deadly and disfiguring virus has swept across the planet claiming half the world's population. Giant corporations seize power and imprison the diseased in plague zones - desolate labor camps where the contaminated work until they wither and die. One group of plague victims - the zero men - has broken away from the rest of society. Violent and uncontrollable, they spend their days in hedonistic dens of iniquity fulfilling halls playing Russian roulette.
When a wealthy industrialist is murdered and his beautiful daughter taken hostage by a pyschopathic Zero Men, her young lover turns to mercenary John Luger for help. Knowing that his own days are numbered, Luger will do anything - risk everything - no matter how dangerous. They set off after the girl, following a bloody trail of death and destruction - one Zero Man against another - on a suicide chase through the plague zone.
